Ipswich Town moved within a point of promotion to the Premier League after beating Coventry City 2-1 at the CBS Arena. Alex Jones provides his player ratings.

Vaclav Hladky

Made an incredible save to deny Haji Wright in the first half, but at the same time, he should've done better to keep the US international's shot out for the goal as it went straight under him. Managed to play out from the back well under pressure. 7

Axel Tuanzebe

A few times where his movement up the pitch allowed Coventry to work the ball into the space behind him, but his link-up play and general defending was really good. 8

George Edmundson

A few nervy moments, but given his lack of minutes, he came in and did really well against some top strikers. Credited with the assist for Cameron Burgess but he probably didn't know a great deal about it. 8

Cameron Burgess

Perhaps some question marks over his positioning for Wright's goal, but he was immense aside from that. It was his goal that saw Town take the points in a colossal game. 8

Leif Davis

Beyond belief that he played the full 90. Ran his heart out, covered every blade of grass, defended for his life and was battered and bruised with some rough tackles. Excellent defensive performance, although he left a gap for Wright to equalise. 8

Sam Morsy

Clear that Coventry wanted to frustrate him, which they did to an extent as he picked up a yellow card. A few sloppy moments on the ball, but his work in tight spaces was really impressive. A hard task. 8

Massimo Luongo

Looked like he was running on empty a bit towards the end, but still threw himself into everything. A few tough moments where Coventry's midfield outnumbered him and Morsy, but they recovered incredibly well in the latter stages of the game. 8

Wes Burns

Got the assist for the opener and looked really lively throughout his time on the pitch. He was Town's threat on the counter whenever they could get the ball to him. A big shame to see him withdrawn through injury - he'll be a big miss if he's out for Saturday's game. 9 (Man of the Match)

Omari Hutchinson

One of those games where, in hindsight, playing through the middle perhaps didn't suit him as much. Some lively moments and some ambitious shots, but perhaps needed a few more moments to take players on in one-v-one situations. 7

Nathan Broadhead

Really should've scored his header, but he couldn't have done much more. Didn't rush his shots, always very slow and measured on the ball, which suited a cagey game, albeit that he probably would've liked more space to work with. 7

Kieffer Moore

Took his goal incredibly well and battled hard after that, although the momentum swung and Ipswich struggled to get him into the game to the same extent. 8

Sub: Jeremy Sarmiento

Fiery, aggressive and exactly who Town needed on the pitch to get the ball into the attacking half. 7

Sub: George Hirst

Really should've scored, and it was unlike him to miss a chance like that. Movement caused problems for Coventry. 6

Sub: Kayden Jackson (80')

Offered a like-for-like replacement for Hirst in the last 10 minutes plus stoppage time. 6

Sub: Jack Taylor (90')
