EADT Business Awards 2013
The EADT is proud to announce that this year's overall winner of the EADT Business Awards is Sackers Recycling Ltd.
The Claydon-based business was named Business of the Year at the climax of the prestigious awards ceremony at Trinity Park, Ipswich on Thursday, July 4.
Earlier in the evening, the family-run firm was named Medium/Large Business of the Year.
During the award ceremony, which included a performance by Suffolk singing sensation Laura Wright, the 300-strong audience were told there had been a record number of entries this year.
EADT Editor, Terry Hunt, congratulated all of the nominees who had made the shortlist and described them all as winners for reaching the finals.
He said in these tough times it is more important than ever to celebrate the achievements of our local businesses.
He added: "With some surveys offering tentative signs of an upturn in the economy, perhaps we can even dare to hope that the number of entries for this year's awards is a sign of confidence returning."
First held by the EADT 15 years ago, the awards are now established
as a key date in the business calendar for Suffolk and north Essex.
For the second year running, the joint main sponsors of the awards
were EDF Energy and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, which are also working
closely together to maximise participation by local businesses in the
proposed Sizewell C nuclear power station project.
With a wide range of categories to enter, the EADT Business Awards provide an
opportunity for businesses of all sizes and from all sectors to seek
recognition for their enterprise and commitment in generating wealth and
contributing to the wider wellbeing of the region and its economy. Will your company be a winner next year?
