Farmers are being urged to sign up to a series of farm leadership skills courses taking place at Bury St Edmunds.
The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is offering courses in communicating assertively, decision-making, time management, negotiation skills and succession planning at Quality Hotel from September through to December.
The courses cost £15 plus VAT, thanks to funding from the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), which is supported by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
“These great value workshops will be very practical and hands-on and are aimed at helping farmer owners, managers and supervisors to become better leaders and more effective in the workplace,” said Tess Howe, project manager for external industry skills development at AHDB. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis – contact Sarah Akerman on t 0247 647 8955 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
