The Federation of Small Businesses' former East Anglian chairman has been elected to the organisation's national board.
Salena Dawson, founder of Dawson's Law in Watton, will serve as the lobbying group's operations director, overseeing its processes and working environment.
Ms Dawson has been involved in the FSB's recent modernisation programme, having served as both a national councillor and its regional chair in Norfolk and Suffolk from 2016 to 2017.
'I'm eager that the FSB continues to push forward its commitment to diversity,' she said. 'I'm also committed to making sure that members remain at the heart of decision-making in the organisation. This is our biggest strength.'
Following a restructure in early 2018, David Barnes became chairman of the newly-formed East of England FSB region, with David Howell and Mike Drain serving as area leads in East Anglia.
