17:18 10 October 2012
SAILINGS of Stena Line ships from Harwich are set to get back to normal tonight with the return to work of both its vessels.
Shipspotters reported the superferry Stena Hollandica at anchor around 12 miles off Felixstowe throughout today, waiting to return to resume its schedule and sail to the Hook of Holland.
The Stena Britannica has been away in dry dock for routine maintenance for 12 days, which has meant some disruption to services.
Today there has been no sailings from Harwich at 9am or the Hook at 2.30pm.
Services resume later today with the evening sailings from both ports, according to the company’s website.
A Stena Line spokesman said: “The Stena Hollandica anchored out at sea today for planned operational reasons and had no passengers onboard.
“The superferry will stay in Harwich all day today, and will pick up her own schedule this evening with the 11.15pm sailing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland.”
