Arena Tours expands
A fast-expanding Ipswich holiday tour firm has expanded its travel portfolio after acquiring a company specialising in art history tours in Europe.
Arena Tours Ltd, which has offices in Ipswich and Market Harborough, has snapped up Art Pursuits Abroad Ltd in Buckingham a year after acquiriing The River Cruise Line and Arena Rail Holidays, bringing the total number of brands within the Arena Tours portfolio to seven.
Managing director Steve Goodenough said: “This acquisition and future investment has been made possible thanks to a strong financial outlook and commitment of our shareholders to the continued growth of the Arena Tours brand. This exciting development comes shortly after celebrating our first year operating The River Cruise Line and Arena Rail Holidays brands, which are now being handled by a team of 20 out of our Market Harborough office.”
Art Pursuits Abroad will be integrated into the Arena Tours portfolio over the coming months and will continue to be based out of its existing Buckingham office, led by head of product, Melissa Taylor.
