A SUFFOLK printing company has been celebrating with stars from the fashion world.
Ancient House Press (AHP), based in Ipswich, was chosen to print the first edition of Marie Claire Runway, a bi-annual fashion companion to Marie Claire magazine published by IPC Southbank.
The 160-page luxury title is a celebration of designer style, catwalk collections and backstage beauty and is aimed at “women who live and breathe fashion and have the means to buy it”.
AHP, which employs 105 people, was selected to print the 47,000 run of the launch issue, with the publication being produced in-house at print firm’s factory on the Hadleigh Road Industrial Estate, including printing on the company’s Mitsubishi Diamond sheetfed press and perfect binding.
A glitzy launch party for the new publication was held at London’s Le Baron club, attended by leading actors, singers, designers and models.
Allison Berry, joint managing director of AHP, said: “We were delighted to be chosen as the preferred printer for the inaugural issue of Marie Claire Runway.
“It was an excellent project to work on and not only are we thrilled with the results, so too are our contacts at IPC. As a long-term supplier to IPC, it is especially exciting to be involved in one of its new flagship publications”.
Jasper Scott, manufacturing director of IPC Southbank, said: “Marie Claire Runway is a high profile launch, demanding efficient, high quality print. Ancient House Press has delivered this and we are delighted with the end result.”
