Property firm Belvoir Rentals, which has been operating in Ipswich for a decade, has branched out with the launch of a house sales business.

The company has now moved to a prominent site in Crown Street, opposite the Tower Ramparts bus station and shopping centre.

The Belvoir/Primedale business, now decorated in Post Office red, has an inter-active search screen in the window, so that home hunters and passers-by can access property information at any time,

Belvoir, with Primedale, offers management expertise for landlords, rental homes for tenants and now an increasing range of house sales for owners.

The Belvoir (Ipswich) agency has been run by Lee Durrant and Jenna Bryenton since 2008, having been operating in the town since 2003, and specialising in the thriving rentals market.

Last year Lee and Jenna took over long-established Primedale and have now incorporated the businesses on the one site.

Jenna said: “We have have much more space here, and 15 people in the team. It is a great, prominent position with a lot of passing traffic and people.”

Initially, after buying Primedale, they had worked to merge the two rental sides of the businesses, she said.

“We are very experienced in helping people to invest in buy to let,” she continued. “We can help you buy and then manage the tenancy. We can also help in terms of sales to landlords and the sales of property by landlords to another investor.

“One in three landlords are expecting and looking to buy. If you are selling a property, with tenants, then our experience is invaluable. We aim to get landlords to offer their properties to the same high standard to compete with new properties. It has worked so far.”

Lee added: “These are really exciting times for us. It started last year with us taking over Primedale and now moving up here. Primedale has been established 38 years and Belvoir, in Ipswich, 11 years. It really is a prime location for us, as well as a bigger office.

“We wanted to make sure we got the lettings side merged to the Belvoir way of doing things. We always have high expectations. Now we are moving the business forward at a busy time for the property market.

“Rental is always strong and it is going to continue to be strong. There is more confidence in the economy and tenants have the confidence to move. Since April/May last year we have had a lot of tenants moving around. Now sales are also increasing.”

The window touchscreen had proved a great innovation, added Jenna. “Everybody has got an interest in houses, whether they are renting or buying their own home,” she said.
