The company was named overall winner at the Personnel Today Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, having already won the Talent Management category earlier in the evening.

The programme saw more than 50 existing employees retrained to take on new roles, alongside collaboration with other businesses in the sector to share resources.

Karen Walkden, head of HR delivery at Magnox, said: “Being named overall winner is a fantastic achievement for Magnox and we are very proud that our HR processes have been recognised as demonstrating excellence.

“We would not have been able to achieve this outcome for the employees or the business without the support of our trade unions who play a vital role in Magnox’s work.”
