Work has already started on a new 360sq m warehouse which, when completed, will become the base for the firm’s 10-strong team of permanent staff plus additional seasonal workers in the summer.

Jenna Ackerley, founder and director of Events Under Canvas, a 2015 member of the Future50 programme for up and coming businesses in Suffolk and Norfolk, said: “Since our inception we have worked incredibly hard to build a thriving, customer-focused business and I am delighted that our success has necessitated this move to larger premises.”

“2017 was a huge year which saw us play a part in over 180 events across the region and beyond. However, in order for us to continue to grow, it was essential that we found a place which could accommodate our expanding team and ever-increasing stock of tipis, sailcloth tents, bell tents and furnishings.”

To mark the move, the business intends to host a VIP evening for staff and their families before it welcomes prospective brides and grooms to its first ever “Event Under Canvas – the tipi and sailcloth showcase” event on the site in April.
