Best Suffolk Product
This is a new category for 2008 to recognise the hard work and dedication of Suffolk producers in the field of innovative products.
Entries are invited from companies and/or individuals who have created a specific product/range using Suffolk grown produce or who are based in the local area.
Judges will be looking in particular at the following:
- Product innovation, development and establishment of consumer need
- Explanation of ingredients used in produce – evidence of locally sourced or produced content
- Production process, eg. using natural processes, chemical free, no additives
- Range of products where appropriate
- Presentation of food – colour and display of goods
- Value for money
- Evidence of preparation and storage facilities
- Evidence of product marketing and distribution – availability to public, unique selling point
- Use of packaging
