Welcome to the EADT Suffolk Food and Drink Awards 2008
We are constantly delighted at the enormous interest that our Food & Drink Awards command, both from organisations and individuals in the industry, and of course from the general public who love to have their say.
This is our third year of the awards, which from their conception, have grown more than two-fold – this year, consisting of ten categories, which we feel broadly encompass the food & drink industry in this area of the country.
The objective of these awards is to recognise and celebrate the county’s finest and leading purveyors in this ever-growing industry. We are extremely lucky in this area, to have in our midst some of the most dedicated and hard-working producers, retailers and suppliers.
We would like to extend our thanks once again to leading Suffolk brewery Adnams, along with our media and category sponsors – BBC Radio Suffolk, The West Wing at Ickworth, Christie + Co, Waitrose of Sudbury & Bury St Edmunds, Laurence Homes, Southwold Pier, Anglia Kitchens, Tastes of Anglia, colnestoves, ESSE, and Hamish Johnston Fine Cheeses.
The response in 2007 was overwhelming – with over one hundred organisations entering the awards and thousands of votes cast – proof that the food and drink industry in our county is thriving and growing, and that the Suffolk public have a passion and interest in the source, preparation and presentation of their food.
