E-Edition: Frequently asked questions
What is an E-Edition?
E-Editions are online versions of newspapers that look just like the real thing. Stories are displayed on pages, which 'turn' as your browse through them.
Unlike a normal website, the E-Edition looks the same as the printed product and includes all the same content.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes! To view a sample free edition click here.
When is the E-Edition updated?
Each day's E-Edition is created at the same time as the paper is being printed, and is available online from 5am.
How much does it cost to view the E-Edition and what do I get?
You can buy a single edition for £1, or save by subscribing for a month for £10, six months for £58 or a year for £105.
The EADT is published in three different editions tailored to specific areas of Suffolk and Essex. If you purchase a single edition, you can only view the paper for the specific geographical area you pick. If you subscribe for a period of time, you can view all geographical editions during your membership.
Whether you buy one edition or subscribe for longer, you will receive all our supplements - like Homes, Drive and Jobs - for the papers you've bought.
How long can I view my E-Edition for?
If you buy a single edition you can return and look at that specific edition at any time, just click on the link for the appropriate geographical area and sign in.
- East Suffolk: Ipswich, Hadleigh, Halesworth, Lowestoft, Stowmarket, Woodbridge
- West Suffolk: Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Lakenheath, Newmarket, Haverhill
- Essex: Chelmsford, Colchester, Braintree
If you buy access for a month, six months or a year, you can view all papers published during that period for up to six months after publication up until your subscription expires. For example, if you purchased a month's access on July 1, you would have full access to all papers until August 1.
Can I download and print pages?
Yes. You can download and print PDFs of pages for personal use via the search function to the top right of the e-edition page. For example, Search Current Issue for Sudoku brings up the Coffee Break page.
Why can't I login?
Check that you have correctly entered your email adddress and password, and that you don't accidentally have Caps Lock turned on.
It's also worth remembering that E-Editions do not use the same membership system used elsewhere on the EADT and other Archant websites. Although you can choose to use the same email address and password, you will need to sign up separately for both systems. Any changes you make won't be reflected on the other system.
