BASKETS made in Suffolk will be woven into scenes from the latest blockbuster movie based on legendary English outlaw Robin Hood.

Waveney Rush Industry, based at Oulton Broad, have completed an order for 32 hand-woven baskets, a rush mat and 50 bunches of rushes for the movie, starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett.

The baskets and props, which had to be completed within two weeks, are being used in scenes being filmed in Pembrokeshire.

The company specialises in weaving hand-made rush products at their workshop in Suffolk, including medieval apple matting and bespoke log baskets.

Managing director Anna Toulson said: “We are extremely proud to have been selected to work with the production company behind the Robin Hood film and thrilled that our beautiful hand-made products will feature in a future Hollywood blockbuster.”
