Floral tributes at scene of fatal crash

FLORAL tributes have been left at the scene of a fatal crash in Suffolk, which claimed the life of a 25-year-old father.

Luke Anthony Barham, from Saxmundham, died following a collision in Friston in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on the A1094 Aldeburgh Road at 12.30am, where a blue Alfa Romeo had left the road and collided with a telegraph pole, ending up in a ditch.

Mr Barham, a passenger in the car, was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he later died.

Several bouquets of flowers have been left at the scene and friends and relatives have written heartfelt messages in tribute to Mr Barham.

A 24-year-old man from the Leiston area, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and drink driving, is currently being questioned by the police.
