This is getting ridiculous, it is not the knife but the person holding it the problem, there are a lot of things that can be weapons in the wrong hands, will I soon be chopping my veg with a spoon? Guns are illegal without a license but this hasn't stopped gun crime, some drugs are illegal but people still take them, its getting to the cause of the anger that will solve it not stopping selling cutlery.

Richard Samson you are turning the East of England Coop into a joke! This great grandma and great grandpa are regularly asked to press the button, declaring we are over 21 when purchasing alcohol, or other age related goods. You will be selling Smash so we don't have to "peel potatoes with our metal knives and smash them all to bits"? !!!!

I am losing all respect for the Citizens of the UK, who allow this to go on without a fight. They will pull your teeth, and feed you slop, next!

I like Britain. I have friends in Britain. But come one. Do you know how stupid this makes you look. When people talk about banning knives in the U.S. it is a sarcastic joke about the uselessness of gun laws. "What will they do next, ban knives?"(sneer) Well, you have taken this lunacy of banning something to the nth degree. To think that a Buck knife or a good hunting knife is illegal over there. Man, grow a pair will you?

Thanks East of England Co-op!! You have give all of us gun owners in the States a good chuckle and yet another proof point for the eventual result of gun control. How is it coming with that whole "pointy knife" and hoodie ban? Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, these inanimate objects may not be the CAUSE of crime? Interested in seeing the upcoming rash of "fork crime."
