Words fail me they really do - what an evil human being
Wendy Webster, Woodbridge
The cruelty that many greyhounds suffer is something most people are unaware of. They are used to make money and then tossed aside like trash. Same with race horses. Some get good care but their lives are never normal. Ireland exports greyhounds to Spain and when they are finished with them they cut off their ears and hang them from a tree. Visit www.greyhoundaction.org.uk for great information.

This case is uncommonly cruel. At least they were banned from having animals for ten years. Eventhough they should have been banned for life. The father being ill is one thingbut the son being so cruel delibretly is thought provoking. In the sense that this is one case how manny more are there out there. If anything this raises the question. Can the racing industry be trusted to govern itself? When conditions like that can be found the other question is what about the welfare of the racing greyhounds and the industrys claim that the racing greyhounds are well cared for being prized athletes. Do we keep Athletes in contration camps? I just want to make it perfectly clear that not all greyhound trainers are as bad as these two but maybe it is high time that more light was shed on the racing industry and their brand of welfare regarding the greyhounds. Yours sincerly Lisbeth Mønsted Larsen Greyhound Action Denmark. Ps. Seen in the light of the most recent cases. Two murdered greyhounds. One a heavily pregnant female with her ears cut of to avoid identity that could lead to the owner. One other emaciated and stabbed in the head and body how long did he or she suffer prior to death? The pregnant female greyhound had six pups in her uteros. They died along with her.

my question is simply this will ten years be enough for this neglectful teenager what about the rest of his life? Eventhough I firmly believe in second chances. How manny chances did he give the poor greyhounds he was supposed to care for?
