A WOMAN found dead in her Suffolk home has officially been named by police.

The body of Sharon Eileen Green was found at her home in Marlesford, near Wickham Market, yesterday .

Mrs Green was 53 and lived in Main Road in the village. She was found at her home by a member of her family at around 6.45am.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said a post mortem examination had been carried out and had concluded Mrs Green's death was as a result of stab wounds to the chest.

A 59-year-old man, believed to be Mrs Green's husband Paul, who was arrested on suspicion of murder following a road traffic collision on the A12 at Wickham Market remains under police guard at Ipswich Hospital.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of Marlesford or Wickham Market between midnight and 7am yesterday morning and may have seen or heard anything that may be relevant to the inquiry.
