Death crash suspect released on bail

A man arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving after a fatal crash at Friston has been released on bail.

The 24-year-old man from the Leiston area, who was also arrested on suspicion of drink driving must return to Ipswich police station on January 9.

The male passenger in a Blue was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he later died. He has been named as Luke Anthony Barham, 25, of Saxmundham.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on the A1094 Aldeburgh Road at 12.30am on Saturday, where a blue Alfa had left the road and collided with a telegraph pole before going into a ditch.
