What has happened to the Crue?

I USED to love Motley Crue. Seriously. I still do, a bit. So I could barely believe what I was seeing when I watched some footage from this year's Download Festival.

Here's a clip of them doing Dr Feelgood. Sounds terrible, doesn't it? Especially if you compare it to the original version.

For starters, who supersized Vince Neil? He can barely finish a line without sounding breathless, and he doesn't even try to sing the chorus.

As for poor old Mick Mars, he looks like he's withering away. Nikki Sixx looks like a finely-tattooed athlete in comparison and at least Tommy Lee still gives those drums a good pummelling.

There's another clip on the NME website which shows them getting ready to go on stage. It's actually quite exciting, capturing the thrill of the moment as they lurk behind a large screen hiding them from the crowd. It cuts off just as the band starts. Just as well.

motley are rock gods, if critics such as yourself {wanna be musicans} begin to like motley, then it`s time for them to get out.

I think you should have another listen to Life is a Rollercoaster by Ronan.
You dissed it once before, but give it a go....you never know, you might like it.
Who are the Motley Crew anyway?
