Superfluous

FIRST full day of John Prescott being in charge and what happens - a major terrorism alert following excellent work by the security services and the Met.

The Prime Minister was on top of events from his Caribbean holiday location and Home Secretary John Reid took charge of being the public face of calm and reassurance over increased security measures.

So no real need for Prescott at all.

Seems you've hit a raw nerve Graham at the `POW.' Well done - your correspondent did not get back to you, do you think he was a Labour Party spokesman in disguise?

Hello there.
Just got back to our holiday home at Walberswick. Quiet and by the seaside.
The old SatPhone buzzed to tell me to get back to the POW.
The Chief of Scotland Yard is telling people it is now safe to leave ones windows and doors open.
Am I hearing this right, or am I ill?
I need to take this in.
Being meaning to tell you that JP has started a trend in footwear.
Quiet a few of us are wearing cowboy boots whilst the team are away on their holidays.
I look a scream in mine, as I am the same shape as JP but much shorter. Mine cost a 180 pounds. Thats cheap I am Told.
Anyway the heels have given me a 2 inch lift making me 5 foot 2 inches.
Must just get the hat now.
Bye for now

Hello there.
My turn to have lunch with Ms Glenda Jackson.
She popps into my office from time to time,
Wonderful woman. We are friends from way back.
She wants to talk politics, me I want to talk about her movies. She won.
She remarked on my boots as did the head waiter at the restaurant.
If I am not mistaken, you are looking taller.
Later I see Ms Caroline Flint, That lady is going to go far in politics.
Always thinking positive. The Mrdia adore her.
Always got time for a quote.
Bye for now

Hello there,
Thank goodness the Chief is back.
My head of department was saying, the PM is looking really fit and well.
Me, I am getting to monitor Big Geoff Hoon.
Now there is a man who can grasp a problem, and having everyone involved looking like stars.

Forgive my last.
Not signing off.
Got called to a Whips Office where he and others were getting ready to watch the Edinburgh Tattoo on TV.
During the transmission we always get a Video Phone call from Gordon Brown.
GB says Where am I folks?
And we all call out At the Tattoo Gordon.
Its very hard to laugh after nearly 10 years.

I'm greatly amused by Angus Danton Green's musings. I note he has a weekend place in Walberswick, just like Geoff Hoon. I wonder, do you share moonlit walks on the beach with him?
As for me looking bigger, I don't hink that's anything to do with cowboy boots - nor I hasten to add, viagra. It's just that I walk tall these days.
The summer heat at Westminster must have been tremendous. It seems to have affected everyone. Politicians have been remarkably timid. It took a visit to Tokyo for Shadow Chancellor George Osborne to get any publicity at all.

Tell you what Graham, the place is being taken over by actors, tv,stage and cinema.
Must get Ms Glenda Jackson to move up here.
My kitchen on Sundays is full of them.
They love Gossip. It air for them. They would die without it.
I have seen some fine actors in the POW.
I stand behind the Speakers Chair at times watching for the pause and timing.
Old Mick, says you see it all from his chair.
Old Mick got a bit of the Ham in him.
Ms Sharon Stone the American actress visited an actor here. Now there a girl to walk on a
moonlit night. Next to her i would look like a midget.Boots or no boots.
Up to now, outside family I have only walked the beach with Paddy Ashdown. Some years ago I hasten to add.
That man never stopped working out.
150 Push Ups no problem.
Used a friends Gym in Southwold.
Bye for now.

I am curious to know who Angus Danton Green really is? Who is well connected gentleman loittering around the corridors of power and strolling along our fine sandy shores? It's time to come clean.

Hi

What part of Durham? I was educated at West Hartlepool Grammar School and started my journalistic career covering the parish councils of mining communities on the Durham coast, Seham, Blackhall, Horden.

At least if Blair goes, there'll be no room at the inn for Prescott. Superfluous indeed.

I'm pleased Old Harrovians have not been ethnically cleansed from the Palace of Westminster. You'll have to exchange banter at Lord's with Cameron at the annual Eton v Harrow cricket match.

Graham

Sounds a bit like Bernard Inghams background as a Grammar School boy and junior hack in South Yorkshire pit villages.

Do the similarities end there? Could you become Dave Camerons spin man?
