Hattie's aunt the Countess would not approve of Labour drivel
WHAT'S Labour's game up in Crewe & Nantwich? Their campaign is so devoid of ideas that the party has been reduced to launching childish, personal attacks on the Conservative candidate. Rattled or what?
Labour's deputy leader Harriet Harman has attacked the by-election campaign, as "not the most positive." She can say that again. One leaflet being handed out over recent days stated: "Tory Boy application form: Do you think that regeneration is adding a new wing to your mansion?"
Rather lamely, Hattie tried to recover the situation. " I think most of the campaign is focusing on, you know, the good that has happened over the last ten years since Labour has been in government in Crewe and Nantwich and also our plans for the future."
Miss Harman should be blushing to her roots supporting drivel about the wealth and privileged education of the Tory candidate Edward Timpson, heir to the fortune of the shoes empire.
Lest you have forgotten, Ms Harman - whose aunt was the Countess of Longford - was educated at the fee-paying St Paul's Girls' School in west London.
