Is anyone else worried that the archbishop of canterbury is advocating that we allow sharia law to be used more in this country.
If people from the middle east come to our country to live, they leave their culture behind, as far as being in public is concerned.What they do in their own homes is different.
Any one of a non Christian background should not be allowed to stand for public office, either local or national.
Our background and culture are Christian based and as such I certainly do not want anyone of a man made religeon like islam, to be in a position to make laws that are contrary our back ground.
We have made too many concessions to people like muslims and we should take them back.If I was to go to an islamic country and state that I am a Christian, I would be killed and anyone converting to Christianity would also be killed, yet these same people are allowed to come to our country and spew their hate against us. If we are to have these laws foisted on us, them treat all the same
I for one will go public with my Christianity and if it offends muslims, tough.This also applies to Easter and Christmas.This is my country..

I agree with the Archbishop on his remarks about implementing partial
aspects of Shariat Law. He is highlighting some elements such as
divorce law and so on to integrate Islamic communities and their
practices into British Law. He is not certainly suggesting that the
Women rights be taken away, people be beaten or beheaded in the
public. This will enable British society to exist in harmony because
Muslims will feel that they are supposed to follow Christian law for
their marriage and divorce which are at times difficult for them to
practice and contradictory to their practices and beliefs.
Ofcourse British law should be practiced by all law abiding citizens
but it does not mean certain practices of minority communities should
be eliminated and Christian practices are imposed in the name of
British law. This is where his comments are extremely helpful.
Some of the mass media have made unfortunate fuss over his statement
as if he is trying to support terrorist ideas and so on. Even the
government has reacted naively to his comments.It shows that they are
interested in reiterating the public ignorance and play along with the
media.

You may have an invisible friend in the sky, and you may feel that the only people you can trust also have the same invisible friend in the sky, but as far as I'm concerned, you are delusional, and the last I thing I would want to do, is live in a country where only people with invisible friends in the sky have any power. You may have heard of "The Inquisition"? That's one example of what happens when people with an invisible friend in the sky gain the purely earthly power they seek.

How can you seriously be worried about Muslims - they are no different to Catholics and Christians. They, like you, believe that people who talk to invisible friends in the sky (priests and holy-men) are the only authority that should be recognised, They, like you, want to see me forced to accept un-provable, leaps-of-faith as 'the truth', just as you want to see Christianity made compulsary. What a terrifying prospect.

I want no part of your baseless "invisible, omnipotent, all seeing but completely impotent invisible friend in the sky" delusions. There are approximately 14 religious wars going on around the world right now, as you read this. In every one of them, people with friends in the sky are murdering and torturing other people, and their reason? "They don't believe in MY invisible friend, they have made up one of their own and we won't stand for it". Sound like a club you want to join? It would seem so, from your post.

Here's a site I would strongly suggest you get familiar with if you are going to tub-thump and campaign for religious rule ....

I am not advocating religeous law, only that no Christian not be allowed to have a say in any law making.Our heritage is Christian not islam and if sharia law is found to be accptable it could become part of our life and I for one do not want that. If muslims find it difficult to live by our laws, than they can go to a muslim country to live. I bet they won't. We have one law, sharia law has no place in Britain.People are losing their jobs because of their belief in Christ, because muslims find it offensve. No way should this be allowed to happen.Muslims accept our ways, not mpose yours on us.

Sharia law is a draconian set of laws which have no place in the UK,if muslims wish to follow it,s laws and rules then move to a muslim country such as Saudi arabia,syria,Iraq,Iran etc.We do not want the muslims to get more of a foot in the door than they already seem to be getting so far.

With todays current climate,the last thing we need is extremist populated mosques using Islam and Sharia law as the cover for them being so called peace loving"british muslims".It is obvious from 7/7 that the divide is there between Uk christians,catholics and non believers and muslims,why complicate matters worse by letting muslims have their way in the Uk
