Royle quits Town

Joe Royle has left Ipswich Town in a split that he and the club say is amicable.

What do you think? Has Joe deserted the Blues or is it the right time for him to step aside?

Sad [:(] Re: Royle quits Town

Am totally gutted if it's true and mildly confused at to why? .  Royle has been an awesome manager in my opinion and I think we could have a fantastic season with him as manager 2006/2007.  If I'm looking anywhere for reasons I look at Mr Sheepshanks, the man I feel should have gone long ago.  Our hopes of promotion this coming year now don't feel so good and I'll be really sad to see the big man go.

Re: Royle quits Town
i dont think Joe Royle was the man to take Ipswich back to the premiership. He has done a reasonable job but sometimes lacked the killer instinct i feel, a younger manager who wants to achieve new and great things would be a better prospect - Ian Holloway would be a good acquistion as he is desperate to manage in the big time, i feel he has the crudentials to get us there to - you never know he may even bring some of his decent QPR players with him (Danny Shittu etc). Royle has been there and done it before and didn't have the same passion for success that some one who hasn't had it before will posses.
