Do you recognise any of the people or were you at any of the events or in this week’s archive pictures?

Re: Sponsored bed push sets off from Aldeburgh in July 1983. Picture in EADT, July 24

Regarding your picture in the EADT (July 24). We were pushing the bed from Aldeburgh to the Griffin Inn at Yoxford in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

This was a particular favourite of the Griffin landlords, Mike and Vera Stannard. I, by the way, am the one in the Arab headdress.

The other bed pushers are – standing at rear – Nigel Minter, Ricky Newson, myself, Paul Holmes, Theresa Foreman. Sitting in the bed is Rob Chandler (DJ on Radio Orwell) and Tania Stannard. Kneeling from the rear is Dale Stannard, Geoff Vincent and Sandy Cleveland.

The date was July 2 and we raised £77.40.

Mr R Booty,

Yoxford.
