There is an air of excitement building as we look ahead to Christmas 2013.

Festive fairs, Christmas markets and carol services are being planned in the towns and villages of East Anglia as we get into the Christmas spirit.

But as we immerse ourselves in the excitement of Christmas, the parties, the delicious food, the shopping and quality time with friends and family, we must not forget the real meaning behind Christmas.

Here we bring you a round up of Christmas news, the top 10 toys list for this year, details of the festive light switch-on ceremonies and timings for the special church services that take place at this time of year.

We also want to celebrate the selfless actions of those who work tirelessly over the festive season to help those who are less fortunate.
