Eve Ensler’s Broadway and West End smash hit is back with an all new, all star cast.

Coming to the Ipswich Regent on November 27, it also stars actresses Clare Buckfield and Vicky Entwistle.

“When you first read it [the script] you blush a bit but the audience blush more than you and then by the end of they’re loving it,” says Hayley, who’s appeared in TV shows from Emmerdale and Shameless to Celebrity Stars in their Eyes - she’s a very convincing Lulu - and Dancing on Ice. Her stage roles have included numerous West End and top theatre tours.

It’s her third time with Monologues.

“It’s a great show to do that’s why I keep coming back. It’s been absolutely brilliant, great houses, great shows, great reviews, I’m having loads of fun.”

Very different to normal acting roles, there are no bacdrops, no props, just her, Clare and Vicky on stage.

“It’s just us talking; it’s very funny, very sad. It’s basically based on women being interviewed all over the world with their different stories and tales about their private parts; what they’ve been through, the experiences they’ve had.

“I think my best one is about a man called Bob who likes to look at them, not do anything just look at them. That’s quite a funny one, it gets the audience laughing quite so yeah that’s my favourite.”

Men are enjoying the show too.

“Some come on their own, some come with their partners... it’s a funny one. You don’t get many men but sometimes you get them on the front row and that’s quite funny.”

Growing up in Blackpool surrounded by entertainment it was no surprise when she went into showbusiness; learning to dance from two and starting singing and acting classes when she was just six.

“I’ve been able to do TV and theatre so I’m lucky enough to do that; I feel blessed really,” says Hayley.

Would she consider returning to the role of Delilah Dingle in Emmerdale?

“I kind of have this motto of don’t go backwards, always go forwards in life. I’ve always tried to stick to that no matter what it entails so I think if I can keep going forwards and I can keep enjoying myself.”
