Fire and police were called to a fire off the B1118 in Stradroke just after noon today after a trailer with 10 tons of straw caught alight.

The incident resulted in the road being closed as crews from Diss, Harleston, Leiston and Stradbroke rushed to the scene of the blaze.

Initial reports said the tractor towing the trailer had caught fire with it subsequently spreading onto the adjoining field.

Police said there were diversions in place via Fressingfield.
