A teenager will appear in court today after a man was stabbed in Colchester.

Two boys – aged 14 and 17 – were arrested following the alleged incident in Turner Road yesterday.

The 17-year-old boy has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife in a public place and will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.

The 14-year-old boy has been released under investigation.

The victim, a man in his 30s, remains in hospital in a stable condition.
