An image has captured a fire which engulfed a vehicle on the A14.

Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway of the Orwell Bridge at 5.24pm on Friday.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire appliances, from Ipswich East and Princes Street, to the scene.

A picture taken at the scene showed flames consuming the front of a blue car.

Smoke can also be seen billowing from the vehicle.

There were some delays in the area while emergency services dealt with the blaze.

A 'stop' call was issued just half an hour later at 5.52pm.
