A woman in her 90s has been arrested and charged after a road traffic collision in Abbot’s Road, Colchester.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “We were called just after 8.15pm last night, Sunday, June 3, to reports that an Audi had crashed into several bollards and a lamppost.”

Pauline Horrigan, 91, of Coast Road, West Mersea, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

She has since been charged and will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 9.
