A12: Delays after motorcyclist comes off his vehicle on busy road

Motorists travelling on the A12 towards London faced some delays today after a motorcyclist came off their vehicle near East Bergholt.


The incident happened at about 10.15am today and one lane had to closed while work took place to clear the scene.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene and the air ambulance landed in a nearby field, although it was not needed in the end.

The incident happened near the turn off for Stoke by Nayland.

The rider of the vehicles is not thought to have suffered any life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

The scene has now been cleared.
