A12: Gas leak causes London-bound delays at Kelvedon

There are queues on the London-bound A12 because of a gas leak in Kelvedon.

The leak has closed one lane while repairs take place on the leak at Junction 24.

Delays are currently going back to Junction 28, Colchester United ground, the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Police were made aware shortly after 8.30am today of a potential gas leak on A12 between Marks Tey and Kelvedon, London bound.

“This has now been transferred to the Highways Agency.”
