Motorists on the A14 near the Orwell Bridge faced delays on Tuesday evening following a collision between a lorry and two cars.

Suffolk police said nobody has been injured in the incident, which happened after 6pm yesterday, but that there were delays on the Bury St Edmunds-bound carriageway of the road, where the incident took place, while recovery work took place.

There were reports that traffic was building up in the Colchester Road area of Ipswich as drivers tried to find alternative routes.

Bury Magistrates' Court

If the Ministry of Justice has its way, Suffolk will end up with only one magistrates’ court, based in Ipswich.

Homes have been refused on land at the Haven Exchange site in Felixstowe.

Proposals for 61 homes near the Port of Felixstowe have been refused by an independent inspector because it would mean the “unjustified loss” of employment land.
