Acton: Man threatened with hammer after confrontation with driver

A PEDESTRIAN was threatened with a hammer by a passing motorist during an incident in Acton. The victim, a 54-year-old man, was walking along Barrow Hill at 10.15am yesterday morning when a vehicle approached.

A police spokesman said: “The driver complained that the victim was walking in the road and took a hammer out of the boot of the car and threatened the victim. He then drove off.”

The offender is described as a bald man in his 40’s and was driving a yellow Volvo estate.

Any witnesses or anyone with information about the identity of the driver can contact Pc Anthony De Brito from Sudbury Police Station on 101.
