TV funnyman Lenny Henry helped bring the seasonal spirit to Aldeburgh by switching on the town’s Christmas lights.

The actor and comedian helped crowds defy the inclement weather by performing the honour as part of a festive celebration in the town.

The switch-on is just one of a host of early Christmas events taking place across the county this weekend.
