Police have found a body in the search for a missing 86-year-old.

George Young went missing yesterday from Garrett House Care home in Park Road, Aldeburgh.

He left the home to go for a walk at 6pm last night but did not return.

Today police were notified by the coastguard at around 1pm that a body had been found in Orford Ness near the Martello Tower.

Officers attended the scene and recovered the body. The death is not thought to be suspicious

Police have been working to trace next of kin and the coroner has been informed.
