Flood warnings have been issued for Aldeburgh and Thorpeness during tonight’s high tide.
The Environment Agency has forecasted that a surge and force five winds will add to the high water predicted at 11.45pm.
“We have been notified of damage to the tidal defences and we are issuing a flood warning as a precaution,” said a spokesman.
“We do not expect flooding of the A1094.”
