All intercity rail services between Norwich and London Liverpool Street are now running following earlier disruption due to an overhead line fault.

However, while normal service has resumed there may be some residual delays which are expected to be resolved by 9pm.

The issue had caused many services to be cancelled. Services that were still running were starting and finishing at Diss.

Abellio Greater Anglia apologised for any inconvenience caused.

Information posted onto its website read: “We are sorry if your journey is affected by this problem.

“Network Rail Engineers have worked as quickly as possible to resolve this problem and restore a normal train service.”
