FIRE crews were called to garage fire in Barham this afternoon.

Crews from Needham Market and Princes Street were called to the blaze in Lower Crescent, Barham at 3.12pm.

Emergency services received multiple calls about the fire, with callers stating the fire was visible from a distance away, causing a second appliance to be sent from Princes Street.

Crews arrived and found a six-by-eight metre garage alight.

Crews used hoses and breathing apparatus to fight the fire and stop it from spreading.

The fire was extinguished by 4.59pm, with crews continuing to dampen down the area for a while.

All crews were back at base by 5.49pm.
