The family of a pedestrian who died after being hit by a van in Barningham, Suffolk, last week have paid tributes to a “lovely kind and generous man”.

Paul Bruce, 56, died at the scene of the accident on the B1111 near the junction with Chare Road last Wednesday, March 12.

In a statement released today the family of Mr Bruce, who was from Barnignham, “We are deeply shocked by Paul’s death.

“He was a lovely kind generous man and will be sadly missed by his parents Chris and Roy and brothers John, Tim and Kevin and step daughters Tracey and Vicky, and step son Mark.”

Any witnesses to the incident, which happened around 8pm and involved a Vauxhall van, are asked to contact Pc Dean Webb at the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
