THE occupant of a house was given oxygen by firefighters where were called to a kitchen blaze during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The alert was raised shortly before 2.30am at Holmsey Green at Beck Row, near Mildenhall.
Crews from Mildenhall and Brandon were called out to the drama and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze
The kitchen of the semi-detached home was damaged, and there was also smoke in the house. An occupant was given oxygen at the scene by one of the fire crews.
The incident was resolved within 40 minutes of the first call coming in.
