Bildeston: Vauxhall Opel involved in crash outside Red Lion pub in High Street

Police and paramedics are at the scene of a single-vehicle crash outside a Suffolk village pub.

A blue Vauxhall Opel was the only vehicle involved in the incident outside the Red Lion pub in High Street, Bildeston, at 10.50pm today, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.

He said officers were called to the scene by the ambulance service.

He added: “The vehicle has crashed in to a lamp post by the side of the pub. The lamp post is now leaning against the pub and might fall over. The local authority has been informed.

“Paramedics have put a neck brace on the male driver. The extent of his injuries are not known at this time.”
