Motorists faced delays on the A12 near Southwold after a car overturned.

An overturned car on the A12 near Southwold caused delays for motorists for more than an hour today.

Police were called to reports of the single-vehicle incident on the A12 northbound at Blythburgh at around 10am.

A Ford Focus which had overturned and landed on its roof was partially on the road and blocking traffic, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.

She said the vehicle was recovered at just after 11.20am. No injuries were reported.
