A farmer’s daughter is swapping her wellies for trainers to run the Virgin London Marathon.

Davina Greenwell, 20, who works on the 3,000-acre family farm in Boyton, near Woodbridge, will be running to support the Countryside Alliance Foundation.

She said: “I am very pleased to be able to run for the Countryside Alliance Foundation as it does great work on all the important matters that affect people living in the countryside.

“When I’m not working I enjoy horse-riding and attempt to take part in one-day events and showjumping, though my success is somewhat limited.

“I also enjoy staying fit and have run a couple of marathons before. I’m attending British Military fitness classes at least twice a week in preparation for the marathon.”

She is now looking for sponsors for the race on April 13. To donate go to www.justgiving.com/Davina-Greenwell1.
