Six people have taken to hospital after a crash which closed the A120 in Bradwell near Braintree in both directions.

Essex Police received reports that a blue Volkswagen Polo collided with a black Maserati Spyder shortly before 11am.

Four people travelling in the Polo were taken to hospital with injuries described as “serious but not life-threatening”.

The two travelling in the Mazerati were also taken to hospital.

The road has been closed both ways between Hollies Road and Water Lane while an investigations are carried out.
