A MAN has been duped out of hundreds of pounds by two bogus callers posing as police officers.

The victim, a man in his 80’s, was targeted during a distraction burglary at his home in Keeble Way, Braintree, at about 3pm on Sunday.

The men said they were police detectives and stole money while the victim was distracted.

One of the men is described as white, 5ft 8ins, slim, with a shaved head and aged between 45 and 55. He was wearing a black fleece, black trousers and boots.

Any witnesses can call Detective Constable Liz Young on 101.
