The coastguard helped two teenage boys who had lost their way back to safety earlier today.

A fisherman called the Thames Coastguard at around 5.45pm saying that two boys, 14 and 16, had gone walking in the marshes near to Point Clear.

They tasked a team from Clacton, and found the two boys, who are not thought to be related, who had got lost when walking from one of the local caravan sites.

Once located, the team helped the two boys find their way, and the incident log was closed at around 7.20pm.
