Police have named the woman killed in the A140 crash

POLICE have named the woman who died in a two-vehicle collision on the A140 in Brome on Tuesday.

Jessica Winterborn, 24, of Harleston, Norfolk, was taken to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital with serious injuries but died yesterday.

The emergency services were called to the scene of the collision at around 4.15pm on Tuesday November 27, following a report that a Peugeot 306 car and a Mercedes LGV had been in collision on the A140 at Brome, near to the junction of the B1077.

The male lorry driver was uninjured.

A section of the road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident and the vehicles were recovered.

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who was travelling along the A140 who saw the vehicles involved.

  • I think traffic lights or roundabouts at the various junctions on this busy trunk road would be more use than reactivating speed cameras. The junctions are very busy especially at peak periods. I regularly have to wait a long time before I can pull out sometimes. The junction at the Mendlesham Airfield is dangerous as well.

Should cyclists be allowed to go through red traffic lights when it is safe?

A cyclist rode through a red light and turned left while I was walking the dog this week. It was 6.20am, there was no other traffic so no risk but, officially, the cyclist had broken the law.

The air ambulance was called to the A12 at the Wangford bypass at around 5.40pm following reports that a woman had been injured in a car crash involving two vehicles.

Firefighters discovered a small fire which had occurred in the lagging attatched to a vessel at International Flavors and Fragrances in Duddery Hill, Haverhill, at around 6.17pm today.

The A11 at Elveden.

An air ambulance landed on the A11 at Elveden this afternoon to help a woman who was involved in a car crash.
