Police have stopped a rave which went on most of the night near Rendlesham Forest after receiving complaints from the public
The location of the rave was discovered by officers at around 1.20am following intelligence reports that a rave was planned. Police also received a number of calls from members of the public.
Officers worked to contain the area and block off access points to stop more people getting to the party, which is reported to have involved 170 people.
Just before 9am further officers served a Section 63 notice to close down the rave and the music was stopped.
The site will now be cleared and police say they are considering what action to take against the people who organised the event. This may include seizing sound equipment.
